"This program provided me with a sense of internal power and confidence that I hadn?t felt before. Now I am armed to stand up for myself?"

Size and strength are less important than knowing key parts of the body and simple moves. I?ll always have the upper hand in any dangerous or fighting situation."
Sam R., Osprey FL

"I am able to now understand how my environment can help me protect myself in a dangerous situation."
Mark B., Brooklyn NY

"I've learned so much from this program. Tom Bloomfield?s approach is amazing because you don?t need to know any fancy or difficult martial arts moves. He shows normal women like me how to defend ourselves by using our natural instincts."
Joan M., Chicago IL

"This program is so easy to learn, and fun to do. This kind of wisdom should be taught in every school. What Tom teaches is truly amazing ? and yet simple to learn."

"I just wanted to say that Mr. Bloomfield has been a wonderful influence on my two sons ages 5 and 11, building stronger bodies, minds, confidence and respect both for themselves and others."

women's self defence techniques

Every month we pay out large sums in insurance for our household items, car and life policies. We willingly pay out these sums of hard earned cash each month in the mistaken belief that doing this will keep us ‘safe’. Learning the basics of women’s self defence techniques is actually the best insurance you can buy. When a woman is attacked, she has no time to think – she must act instinctively in order to survive. When you have the right training in women’s self defence techniques, reaction to a violent attack becomes a natural, conditioned and extremely effective response.

An rather unpalatable truth is that people would rather not get involved when something nasty is going on and in the, hopefully unlikely but awful event that you are attacked you have to fight back for yourself – you are the only one you can truly count in just such an event. If you arm yourself with women’s self defence techniques you will learn how to project an attitude of confidence that is vital in avoiding an attack in the first place and how to deal with unwanted advances or an actual assault should it occur.

You learn to use your eyes, ears and brain to keep you informed of what is happening around you. You need to be constantly aware if someone moves in too close, make it obvious that you are aware and move into a position of safety. Women’s self defence techniques will automatically bring the physical moves that you have learned into practice. Be alert and aware of dangerous situations; discover how to use your natural instincts to protect and defend yourself. You will soon master the basics of assessing your environment for escape routes. By learning the basic women's self defence techniques you will come to know the most sensitive areas on the human body and how to strike them to effectively incapacitate your attacker long enough to get away to safety.

At a class of women's self defence techniques you will learn that if an attacker comes close to you it is critical to keep them from catching hold of you, hitting you, or getting you down on the ground. You will learn how to use your elbows, fingers and knees as natural weapons to disable an attacker. What to do when someone grabs you; escaping a grip from behind; dealing with someone trying to trip you; what to do if you are on the ground and your attacker is trying to kick you; what to do if your attacker is on top of you; dealing with two attackers and not to panic if confronted with a weapon.

Women’s self defence techniques include knowing how to react to a situation at an ATM, a traffic light or on the street. Keys, shoes, a handbag or even a bag of groceries can be effectively used as a weapon to gain time to escape.
